OPENING OF SPORTS FESTIVAL TO CELEBRATE THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF VIETNAMESE DOCTORS' DAY (FEBRUARY 27, 1955 - FEBRUARY 27, 2025) AT NATIONAL REHABILITATION HOSPITAL

In the vibrant atmosphere of emulation to celebrate the country's major holidays and those of the Health Sector, the National Rehabilitation Hospital held the opening ceremony of the Sports Festival on the afternoon of February 12, 2025, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025) and the 52nd anniversary of the founding of T72 Hospital, the predecessor of the National Rehabilitation Hospital.
The opening ceremony was attended by Specialist level II Doctor Le Huy Cuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Hospital; M.Sc. Le Van Trong, Chairman of the Hospital's Trade Union; leaders of departments; and all staff, patients, and patients' families receiving treatment at the hospital.
At the opening speech, Mr. Le Van Trong - Chairman of the Hospital's Trade Union, extended his wishes for health, happiness, and success to all athletes participating in the tournament. He emphasized that this is a meaningful activity that creates a vibrant and enthusiastic competitive atmosphere for the staff in anticipation of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctor's Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025) and the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of T72 Hospital, the predecessor of the National Rehabilitation Hospital. This event aims to help develop physical fitness, enhance health, endurance, and resilience, while providing opportunities for exchange, learning, and strengthening solidarity among the various departments, wards, and centers within the Hospital. Mr. Le Van Trong earnestly requested that all athletes compete in the spirit of sportsmanship, solidarity - honesty - nobility and achieve high results, contributing to the success of the season.
The sports festival includes 03 competitions: Tug of war, Table tennis and Steam volleyball.
17 departments are divided into 8 teams and divided into 2 groups A - B. The groups compete in a round-robin format with the first and second place in the semi-finals. The first place in group A will meet the second place in group B and the first place in group B will meet the second place in group A; the 2 losing teams will compete for the third prize and consolation prize. The final round will be between the 2 winning teams of the semi-finals.
The matches will take place from 12-14/02/2024 at the hospital's sports ground.
The final is scheduled to take place from 17-21/02/2024.
The Organizing Committee will award 01 first prize; 01 second prize; 01 third prize; 01 consolation prize for the steam volleyball category and 01 first prize; 01 second prize; 01 third prize; 01 consolation prize for the table tennis category; Similarly, the tug of war will also have 01 first prize; 01 second prize; 01 third prize; 01 consolation prize.
