On the afternoon of August 11, 2025, the National Rehabilitation Hospital welcomed 27 students from the International University of Health and Welfare in Japan for an internship to learn about the practical work of medical examination, treatment, and rehabilitation at the Hospital.
The internship delegation was led by representatives from the Department of Training Management and the International Cooperation section of Hanoi Medical University, Thanh Hoa Branch; representatives from the International University of Health and Welfare, and some lecturers from Hanoi Medical University, Thanh Hoa Branch.
On the National Rehabilitation Hospital's side, the delegation was welcomed by Cam Ba Thuc. MD.PhD, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Hospital; Specialist Level II doctor Le Huy Cuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Hospital; some lecturers from the Hanoi Medical University, Thanh Hoa Branch who are working at the Hospital, and some doctors from departments at the Hospital.
During their internship, the students were given an overview of the hospital's history, functions, duties, and professional strengths. They also visited some departments and directly observed the process of receiving, examining, treating, and rehabilitating patients. The delegation also exchanged and shared experiences with the team of doctors, nurses, and technicians, which helped them better understand the multi-specialty care and treatment model that the Hospital is implementing.
This internship not only helps students improve their professional knowledge and access clinical practice but also contributes to strengthening exchanges and training cooperation between the National Rehabilitation Hospital and other international educational and medical institutions. This is one of the practical activities aimed at the goal of integration and development, contributing to improving the quality of the healthcare workforce in the context of globalization.
