OPENING OF THE HOSPITAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT TRAINING COURSE AT HANOI MEDICAL UNIVERSITY – THANH HOA BRANCH

On March 21, 2026, the opening of the Hospital quality management Training course officially took place at the Hanoi Medical University – Thanh Hoa branch. This was a significant professional activity for the officials and employees of three units under the University: the National Rehabilitation Hospital, 71 Central Hospital, and the Hanoi Medical University – Thanh Hoa branch.

As part of the program, in the morning, the HMU working delegation conducted a site visit and field survey at the National Rehabilitation Hospital. During this session, the Hospital’s Board of Directors and the delegation directly exchanged views and assessed the current status of quality management at the unit. Following this, the delegation also surveyed 71 Central Hospital before the official opening session in the afternoon.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the representative of the HMU Board of Management emphasized the importance of standardizing processes and continuous quality improvement in the current healthcare landscape. This training course is not merely about equipping staff with knowledge; it is a "journey to change the quality mindset," with a focus on patient-centered care.
During the seminar, the representative of the National Rehabilitation Hospital presented a report on achieved results and proposed practical solutions to enhance the effectiveness of quality management at the unit in the coming period.

A highlight of the training course was the in-depth presentation by Dr. Nguyen Van Hoat – Head of the Quality Management Department at HMU Hospital, on the topic: "General Introduction to Hospital Quality Management and Improvement: Experiences from HMU Hospital". The valuable insights shared included:
  • Standardizing processes according to international standards.
  • Applying the 5S model effectively in hospital management.
  • Building a communication culture oriented towards patient satisfaction.
  • Strengthening patient safety solutions and continuous quality improvement.
The training course created a vibrant forum for units to exchange, learn, and connect. For the National Rehabilitation Hospital, this is a vital opportunity for the medical staff and employees to access modern management methods. This contributes to step-by-step improving the quality of medical services to better meet the public's needs for healthcare and rehabilitation.
