NATIONAL REHABILITATION HOSPITAL OFFICIALLY RENAMED HANOI MEDICAL UNIVERSITY GERIATRIC AND REHABILITATION HOSPITAL
Effective 26 October 2026, National Rehabilitation Hospital has been officially renamed Hanoi Medical University Geriatric and Rehabilitation Hospital, a teaching hospital under Hanoi Medical University.
The name change is pursuant to Decision No. 11021/QD-DHYHN dated 26 October 2026, issued by Hanoi Medical University, approving the restructuring and reorganization of 71 Central Hospital as Hanoi Medical University General Hospital No. 2, and National Rehabilitation Hospital as Hanoi Medical University Geriatric and Rehabilitation Hospital. Both institutions are teaching hospitals under Hanoi Medical University.
This milestone marks an important step in the hospital’s development, creating opportunities to strengthen the integration of clinical care, medical education, scientific research, and the application of clinical expertise in geriatric medicine and rehabilitation.
As the hospital embraces its new name, its staff remain committed to teamwork, professional responsibility, and compassionate care. The hospital will continue striving to improve the quality of clinical care and services to better meet the community's healthcare needs.
