NATIONAL REHABILITATION HOSPITAL ATTENDS THE 2026 ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE NORTHERN HOSPITAL DIRECTORS CLUB

On May 22–23, 2026, a delegation from National Rehabilitation Hospital, led by Cam Ba Thuc, MD, PhD, Director of the Hospital, attended the 2026 Annual Conference of the Northern Hospital Directors Club at the Lao Cai Provincial Convention Center. The conference was held under the theme “Smart Hospitals – Smart Leadership.”
 

Participants included Đao Hong Lan, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Minister of Health; Le Đuc Luan, Deputy Minister of Health; Dr. Ha Anh Duc, Director General of the Medical Services Administration; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đao Xuan Co, Director of Bach Mai Hospital and Chair of the Northern Hospital Directors Club; and Pham Thanh Viet, Director of Cho Ray Hospital and Chair of the Southern Hospital Directors Club. The event also attracted a large number of healthcare experts, scientists, hospital leaders, and healthcare professionals from across the region.

The Annual Conference of the Northern Hospital Directors Club is a prestigious forum that brings together healthcare leaders, hospital directors, leading specialists, scientists, and medical technology companies from throughout the country. Over the years, the conference has become an important platform for sharing experience in hospital governance, keeping abreast of advances in modern medicine, and promoting professional cooperation among healthcare institutions.

At the conference, representatives of the National Rehabilitation Hospital’s Board of Directors participated in a series of in-depth discussion sessions focusing on:

• Comprehensive digital transformation in healthcare and smart hospital development;
• Improving healthcare service quality and patient safety;
• Sharing clinical experience and emerging technologies in stem cell therapy, gene therapy, organ transplant counselling and coordination, and robotic surgery;
• Developing a highly qualified healthcare workforce; and
• Strategic hospital leadership in the digital era.

The 2026 Annual Conference of the Northern Hospital Directors Club concluded with strong consensus on a range of important issues. The recommendations and solutions developed at the conference will provide valuable scientific and practical foundations for hospitals to apply in their operations. They will also serve as a useful reference for National Rehabilitation Hospital as it continues to improve its management mechanisms and policies in the coming period.
