Geriatric Medicine Department
GERIATRIC MEDICINE DEPARTMENT
Functions:
The Geriatric Medicine Department is a clinical department that carries out health check up and health management for the elderly patients, under the direct leadership of the hospital director and responsible to the director for the operation of the department.
Tasks:
1. Compose the annual department’s working plans, submit them to the director for approval and bring them into implementation.
2. Carry out health checks-up and health management for elderly patients as form as outpatient, inpatient and day care in hospital by using medication, physical therapy and rehabilitation.
3. Coordinate between clinical departments and functional departments in health management for elderly patients.
4. Guideline and transfer rehabilitation techniques for lower-level institutions.
5. Building internal regulations, professional rules, technical protocols of the department and submitting them to the hospital's leadership for approval.
6. Scientific research, applying advanced science and techniques in disease prevention, diagnosis, management and rehabilitation, health promotion for elderly people.
7. Participate in solving social affairs and nutrition medicine network in the hospital.
8. Communication, health education, pandemic and disease prevention
9. Carry out the hospital's convalescent service.
10. Training and participating in continuing medical education.
11. Term review, summarize and evaluate the result of the department’s work.
12. Carry out other tasks assigned by the Director.
