Infectious Control Department
INFECTIOUS CONTROL DEPARTMENT
Functions:
The Infectious Control Department has function of implementation the infectious control in hospital, under the direct leadership of the hospital’s director and is responsible to the director for the operation of the department.
Tasks:
1. Building department’s working plan and bring it into operation, building internal regulations, professional rules and technical protocol of department and submit them to the hospital's leadership for approval.
2. Head point of advisory for Director about methods to prevent and control infection, wastewater treat and medical waste treat in hospital.
3. Organize or coordinate with relevant departments in checking and supervising the implementation the methods to prevent and control infection, wastewater treat and medical waste treat in hospital.
4. Building job description paper for the staffs of the department.
5. Building norms and technical standards and propose for buying equipment, materials and chemicals related to infection control, wastewater treat and medical waste treat activities and supervising the use.
6. Guiding, checking and supervising the implementation of infectious control activities of all members of the infectious control network.
7. Training on infectious control for healthcare staff and students.
8. Communication on infectious control for healthcare staffs, students, patients, family members of patients and visitors.
9. Participate in scientific research, international cooperation and local coordination on infectious control.
10. Training and participating continuing medical education.
11. Term review, summarize and evaluate the result of department’s working.
12. Carry out other tasks assigned by the Director.
